NPO InterCoS was established and registered in Tokyo on 24th of May, 2006 with government authorization based on NPO laws in Japan.

Purpose
|
NPO InterCoS is a Non Profit (and Non Government) Organization for Promotion of International Peaceful Cooperation in Space. NPO InterCoS will contribute to international cooperation, world peace, promotion of technology and culture through the following activities:
- Survey and study of the Space Activities and Culture of such countries as Russia and Ukraine and introducing them to the world.
- Promotion of cooperation and personnel exchanges on Space and Culture with those countries.
- Promotion of peaceful use of Rockets.

International Members

NPO InterCoS is an international organization. Many of InterCoS regular volunteer members are Russian and Ukrainian specialists who participated in a launch campaign of Japanese satellites from Baikonur using a Russian / Ukrainian launch vehicle. Although the organization head office is in Tokyo, a lot of activities are going on in space related areas such as Moscow, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Baikonur, Yasny, and Zheleznogorsk. Also NPO InterCoS has been supported by several volunteers in the United States and Europe.
